Where required, this can include identity documents, verification results, beneficial ownership, director or PSC details, risk information and other records needed for anti-money-laundering or client due-diligence purposes.

This can include bank and transaction records, income, expenses, invoices, tax records, accounts, property information, payroll data and information about relevant financial arrangements.

This may include device, browser, security, log, cookie or analytics information where the relevant tools are in use and permitted by applicable law and consent requirements.

Why we use personal information

We use information only where there is a lawful basis and a legitimate business or legal purpose.

The lawful basis can differ according to the activity. In some cases more than one basis may be relevant to different aspects of the same client relationship.

This may include UK adequacy regulations, an approved contractual safeguard such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or Addendum, together with the required transfer assessment, or another lawful exception where applicable.

International clients do not automatically mean unrestricted international data sharing.

The data flow should be considered separately: who is receiving the information, in which country, in what capacity, why the transfer is needed and what safeguards are required.
